I want to add my encouragement to get a colonoscopy.  The stuff you have to drink before hand is horrible, but not as horrible as cancer.  The colonoscopy itself is no big deal since you will be asleep the whole time.  I had the best nap ever after coming home, so that's a plus.  We are too young to die of something as avoidable as colon cancer!  Jackie is right; get the test!  Judy Huckaby Schroeder

I know this must be hard to believe but I do have a birthday coming up on the 22nd of this month!  Somehow the computer software managed to miss me last year as well as this year. I use to not like birthdays; now I am just glad they come around!!  Go Hornets!  What a wonderful class we had along with some wonderful teachers!

Have a great day!  Our thrid grandchild Harvey Walker Steele was born on the 16th of July so now he joins his cousins Lilly and Paige on the 18th of July and his Uncle Andrew on the 29th of July and Andrew's wife Jamie on the 30th so the Steele clan will certainly have Christmas in July with four birthdays!  Not only have a great day but a super year.  Dick Steele

Although our ages do vary to some degree, I very much like Nancy Ballard's suggestion of a 70th birthday celebration for all the Class of 64 in 2016.

I have sad news to report to you all, classmate Linda Wherley Harris passed away on June 12th, 2016!  She went to Jefferson and then Highland.  She had been very ill for a long time.  She died of esophageal and lung cancer.  She will be very missed.  Nancy Aimes-Mayo

So sorry that I didn't spend time with Linda before she passed.  I enjoyed being her friend in junior high and high school.

Linda was a beautiful , thin young lady that I shared two classes with as seniors.  I remember her sweet spirit, her 1956 tourquise and white Chevy, and that she was close friends with Susan Scott.  The world will be a less rich place without her.  She was my friend ,  I will miss her.

God Bless Linda,

Bill Russell

I am sorry to hear about Linda's death.  I didn't really know her in high school, but knew who she was.  I think I had some classes with her.  I recall her being a very sweet girl. Our class is losing too many classmates way too young.  Thank you for the information, Nancy.
