In Memory

Betty Canoyer (Hudson)

She passed away 11-21/10

Betty placed this message in Classmates before she passed away.  We thought it would be nice to pass it along.

Hello everyone, I am so excited about this website. I saw so many names of people that bring back such great memories. I am anxious to Life Hello everyone, I am anxious to chat with anyone who wants to. I have 2 children and they have given me 3 fabulous grandchildren. I can't believe I am so blessed with all of them. I live in Northern California and still love and yearn to be back in New Mexico. My soul is there. I have a home in Santa Fe that I will eventually retire in. Who knows when that might happen. I love my career - I am a Mortgage Broker and have been for 28 years. It has let me counsel and listen to people and help them with my knowledge and caring. I love it. My sweetheart and I just bought a 36 ft RV so we are planning great trips across the US. For now it will just be in California because we are busy at work. Love to you all. Let me know how you are.   Betty

This was from the printed and given out at her funeral:

  • Elisabeth Hildegarde Canoyer Hudson. -  9/12/1946 - 11/21/2010

"Do not stand at my grave and weep.  I am not there, I do not sleep.  I am a thousand winds that blow.  I am the diamond glints on snow.  I am the sunlight on the ripened grain.  I am the gentle Autumn's rain.  When you awaken in the morning hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet  birds in circled flight.  I am the soft stars that shine at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry; I am not there, I did not die."

-Hopi Prayer

Rest in peace, Pretty Lady,  Nancy Aimes

Betty was a devoted and dear friend until her death.  I am still closely in touch with her two children, especially her daughter who lives in WA.  She is the living image of her mother, but even prettier if you can imagine that. Both children are happy, productive, loving people--a living tribute to their mother.  I miss you, Betty.
