Rebecca Cofer Shryock, passed away at home February 8, 2018 in Plano, Texas following a battle with cancer. Becky was born in Denver, Colorado October 25, 1946 to Donnell Cofer and Catherine Carlton Cofer. She grew up in Albuquerque where she met Allen Shryock, her husband of 51 years who cared for her throughout her illness. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Donnie Cofer, and cherished daughter, Cory Shryock Ausenbaugh. She is survived by her husband, their sons Allen (Julie) and Joshua (Michelle), five grandchildren: JB and Becca Ausenbaugh, Ryan, Layne, and Dylan Shryock, and sister, Martha Cofer Wenderoth. Cremains will be spread on the Shryock family property in Jemez mountains on July 28, 2018. Becky will be remembered for her sweet, compassionate spirit and limitless love for her family.

Becky and I lived very near each other. We walk to Zia to school daily, then went on to Jefferson and Highland. Those days bonded us for a lifetime. Our mothers were friends all those years as well. Sadly I lost track of her when I moved to the Bay Area and she to the Dallas area. A warm and happy soul, sweet and fun—I treasure my memories.
