I knew Don mainly through mutual friends at Highland back in the day. What I recall most is his infectious sense of humor. Several years ago we found ourselves in touch online and I learned a bit about his multiple talents as a writer, musician and an actor. A sample of his pushing-the-envelope literary skills can be found in Love, Lies, Linnea, and Lucky Lucifer (Kemp Gregory and DP Hymel). He was also apparently quite involved in recent years with the First Unitarian Universalist Church in San Antonio where I understand he would occasionally sing and play the guitar.
