We were just notified that Tom Morgan passed away December 1, 2023
He was never registered, but through other channels I found he served in Viet Nam and was wounded.
So Long Tom, Thanks for your Service
If I find a service announcement I will send out a notification
Tom and Mike Rivera joined the Navy Reserve the night before JFK was assassinated. Mike was at Hospital Corps School the same time I was in the summer of 1965. He went to Vietnam and was wounded from shrapnel in the throat. I believe he was given a medical discharge. Had Tom in one my classes and he was quite a character.
Tom and I knew each other from first grade at Bandelier, to WIlson, and Highland. His home was across from Hyder Park, so many of us gathered there over the years for football, baseball, and orher activities. Tom was fun-loving--almost mischievous--usually with a smile on his face. Saw him last, in Hyder Par,k for our 30th (I believe) reunion. Good memories. Go in peace.
There were several of us who "ran around" with Tommy before and after graduation! He was always so much fun! After his service in Viet Nam his voice was so raspy due to his throat having been injured by shrapnel! We all went our separate ways and I lost track of him but the memories last!
