She was a brilliant philosopher who was an expert in Aristotelian natural philosophy and medieval and Renaissance thought. She was the Koeppel Professor of Classical Studies at Trinity College, Hartford and the Chair of Philosophy Department at Villanova University, Pennsylvania. She was a fellow at the Dibner Institute for History of Science and Technology at MIt and at the Institute for Advance Study in Princeton, New Jersey. She wrote over three dozen articles and published four books. Her accolades are mentioned in Wikipedia under Helen S. Lang. We went to the NY World's Fair in 1964 together after attending the National Classical League convention at the University of Illinois and studied piano with the same teacher in Albuquerque, played piano together at the Senior Banquet. Lots of happy memories!
