Really would like to locate Marcia Harrison, know she moved east soon after graduation and as good as I am at keeping in touch,"HA" totally lost her. I know she had an older sister in Albuquerque, but don't remember her name. Does anyone know her? Rosemary Williams (Hoermann)

Sorry, I don't know Rosemary Williams.  I do remember Susie Salazar but have no idea where she is.

Rosemary Williams is Rosemary Lane.  And Susie Salazar lives here in Albuq.

Whoops.  I don't remember Marsha Harrison either.  Hopefully both Williams and Harrison can come to the Reunion.

Memory is a funny thing. It seems our commencement ceremonies were at night at Johnson Gym on the UNM campus. I don't remember this event at all...maybe too much BEMLAW?

I have clear memory of the ceremony taking place in the daytime in Highland Gym.
Walking out afterwards and doing the celebratory 'cap toss'.

Did we have 2 ceremonies? Did we change venues and times at the last minute?

Or am I just nuts?

Larry, I wouldn't touch that last question with a 20ft pole.  But, we have to be crazy to be doing what we are doing, if not now, then when we are sitting discussing how it all turned out!!!   I don't remember graduation being at night either.  But my memory is going faster than I ever thought it could.  Anyway thanks for getting the anniversary posted.  Janet and I are getting ready to go Cissy's.  If I get a chance, I'll call you while we are all together.... nm

Carole Crawford (DeArman)

Yes, graduation was at night and definitely at Johnson Gym.  Probably what you are remembering, Larry, is Baccalaureate, held in HHS gym, during the day.  AND, we seniors got a whole week off...senior week.  Lots of parties, dinners, mayhem, etc.  Was a fun time!

Thanks Carole. So too much BEMLAW it was. Good to see you.

Man o man am I catching some grief off line about the state of my memory!
The Baccalaureate it seems was held the day before graduation on June 2.
Thanks Singer.

Wait, I'm Rosemary Lane - now Kilmer - I'm not Rosemary (Hoermann) Williams! But hope you find her! Nice to see another Rosemary - not too many of those names around anymore!

So glad to see more people are signing into the website and that more are planning on attending at least one event.  I so look forward to seeing everyone!  Vicki V

Vicki Vanlandingham!   The "girl" with the long and golden name, which had the great initials "VV."   Didn't you live near San Mateo and Zuni, or near the "Record Rendezvous?"  I remember we walked over there a couple of times until I spent all my money on 45's.  Glad you're coming to this Highland "Rendezvous."

Hi Bill,

Yes, lived at San Mateo and Inspiration.  I was just thinking about the Record Rendezvous the other day.  Remembering the days sitting in the little rooms listening to 45's.  How things have changed.  Look forward to seeing you at the reunion.

Vicki

Hey gang. I just got this message from Roberta Thomas: "I am posting photos for 10 year reunion that Joanne Moses Bagley sent to me since I was in Japan and missed it. Will also send to Janet Gator"

You'll be able to see them on Roberta's profile and when Janet gets them to me I will upload them in full size and resolution to my paid hosting service so you can download them.

Joanne Moses (Bagley)

Many thanks to the HHS Reuion Committee for all your efforts and having set up this terrific site.  I'm sad that I have just started viewing it and don't have time to send a note to all the folks who evoke so many memories.  Those pictures of our last reunion help jar the memory but I shudder at how hard it will be to remember names! Cissy, the memorial idea is very nice.  Is there any kind of gift from the class for some HHS need or scholarship?  Music, art, and theater departments are always scrimping along.  Of course, the '64 sports record is historic!

Thenks again and see you all soon,

Joanne Moses Bagley

Thank you Joanne,  we will be keeping the web site at least a year after the reunion.  You can always go back and leave all kinds of messages to whomever you want.  Can't wait to see you and everyone else.   Nancy

I was hoping that the website would be available after the reunion so we can keep in touch.  This is a great idea.

I would like to thank the team or committee that put this event together.  The web site is very very good and I have enjoyed seeing many of our classmates photos and learning a little about how everyone is doing.  I look foreward to seeing all very soon.

Larry, I see you fixed a flag recently on "In Memory", would you do so for Bill Luther.  He too served our Country with honor.  I will post the dates as I know them

Rosemary Lane (Kilmer)

I am so disappointed that I have to post this message, but we won't be able to make the reunion after all :-(

We were all set to drive our motorhome from Indiana to Albuquerque and I had already registered for both Friday and Saturday nights! But things happen beyond our control - my daughter needs help here with her 3 kids. But I really want to thank the 50th Reunion Committee for all their work - I know it's been a lot! I have really enjoyed reading all the posts from everyone and seeing the profiles to see what everyone is doing after all these years. I will really miss seeing everyone and renewing friendships. My brother and two sisters still live in Albuquerque, so I was looking forward to seeing all my HS friends plus family.

I will try to post some pictures of what I have been doing - retired from Purdue University after 40 years in teaching in higher education - it was time! But we haven't retired from life - we are still writing textbooks and our publisher Wiley & Sons featured us at an International conference in New Orleans this last March. And I just finished competing in my first triathlon last Saturday - I actually finished first in my age group but honestly there was not much competition in the 65-69 age group! Haha - I am more athletic in my 60s than I was in HS - ha go figure!

I am so disappointed to hear that you won't be able to attend the reunion.  I was so looking forward to seeing you.  I am almost in tears hearing this bit of news.  I will have to sit on this a moment. I am so sorry.  We are working on a package, with a t-shirt, a CD/DVD and a keepsake gift.  Also with a few other little things we had gotten for everyone.  Please keep in touch.  We will have the web site open for about a year.  You will be able to keep up with everyone.  You will be missed.... Nancy

Nancy ---- Thanks to you, Larry and The Committee for all of your time and hard work!  I've served on previous committees and know that it's a real effort and committment.  This new program has been wonderful, but I'm sure not without issues.  So many of us will be able to re-connect and stay in touch as a result of this particular reunion.  Tomorrow night is the "big day"  ------ congratulations ----- you guys did it!!!!!

Nancy Trigg (Conrow)

Finally getting "with it" to post something and it simply must be a big THANK YOU to Nancy, Larry and rest of the committee for the time, effort and everything else it has taken to put together this reunion.  A 50th is certainly something that should be done and looks like this one promises to be terrific... thanks to you all.  Looking forward to seeing everyone and hearing great tales of life journneys.  Just hope the memory doesn't fail me too much.  smiley

Sandra Erwin (Hearnsberger)

Thank you all for the fabulous effort of getting the reunion up and going.  I hate that we will not be able to attend at this time.  I hope we can make the 55th ???  Thanks for including me in all the notices.

Becky Burnham (Craig)

I also want to thank the entire committee for organizing the reunion.  I know how much time it takes to accomplish such a task.  I had planned to make this reunion as it is really a milestone in our lives.  Hopefully we can have a "55" and those who couldn't attend this year can make that one.  Have a wonderful weekend.  I will be thinking of everyone.
