I loved high school - felt sorry for the kids that were in high school when I was teaching! Couldn't have a bonfire, no great anticipation for home- coming queen announcement, no big school dances WITH THE LIGHTS ON so you could see what everyone was wearing...we had to be wary of gang fights, someone would get shot or come to the dance, totally wasted. I loved everything about HHS - the school spirit, the cleanliness of the halls, the teachers...all of it was what it was supposed to be Thank you all for being such wonderful classmates, even when I TP'ed your folk's homes regularly!

I left NM and went all the way to Abilene, TX, for college; graduated in '68 with a B.S. Vocational Home economics. When I graduated, I was engaged to a guy, also from ACU, who was in Viet Nam. He came home (Denver, CO) pretty messed up, which none of us were prepared for. As a matter of fact, he called off the wedding about 7 weeks before the fact! I was working at the time for PNM as a Home Economist and loving it. Continued working there until I met the Eveready Salesman for the state on a blind date. He called, we went out and were married one year later (it's the only time he's worked fast in his life). we were immediately transfered to OKC - lived there for 5 yrs. Both of our sons were born there. We were then transferred to the Dallas offce and have lived in Richardson, same house, since 1978...I guess it's home.
