I'll never forget when a bunch of us were performing for an assembly, and we were able to slip the word "beaver" past the sponsors. When there was a big roar of laughter from the student body, the teachers were mystified. We thought we were so clever!

I received a BS in education from UNM in '68, and an MA in education in '72. I taught first grade for 6 years until my daughter was born in '74. My son was born in '77 and I was a full time mother while they were young. I was an active room mother for both of them, and I served as president of the Parents' Association at Manzano Day School for two years. I went back to work as a teacher of the Gifted in 1990. I returned to graduate school in 1993 and obtained a masters degree in Special Education. In 1995 I applied to the Educational Diagnostician program, and I completed a Masters Degree in Educational Diagnosis in 1998. I worked in that capacity for APS until 2004, when I was hired by some local charter schools. I worked for the charter schools until 2011, when I retired. I still do some contracting for charter schools.
I am really looking forward to out 50th reunion. It is really difficult to believe we are all sooooo old!! I never imagined that I would be this old!
I am divorced after 41 years of marriage. I have adjusted, very well, to being alone; although, I am a little bitter about paying spousal support out of my retirement pension. I will adjust.
I enjoy traveling, when I can. A friend and I traveled to France in 2010 and New Zealand in 2012. We plan to go to Viet Nam and Cambodia in January-February of 2014.
